With the “coming soon” tag

The Windows Mobile-powered HTC Touch Pro 2 is one of the Taiwanese-based phone maker's flagship models for 2009, and comes along with the HTC Touch Diamond 2, also powered by Microsoft's operating system. Both handsets come to the market with touchscreen capabilities and are eligible for upgrade to the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform as soon as it becomes available.

There are two interesting things that need be mentioned here, the first one being the fact that Vodafone named the phone Touch Pro 2, while HTC still calls it Touch Pro2, while the second being that the high-end device was initially expected to be launched on Orange's airwaves, and not on Vodafone's.

We can not say for sure at the moment when Vodafone will actually launch the HTC Touch Pro 2, but, until that information becomes available you can see the device on the carrier's site here. Unfortunately, no details on the price tag the handset should feature are available either, but, if it is to come soon, then we won't have to wait too long before learning more on it.

For those who might have forgotten what the HTC Touch Pro 2 comes to the market with, we should mention the phone's 3.6-inch touchscreen display, the landscape QWERTY keyboard, which can offer fast messaging and emailing features, speakerphone, 3G capabilities as well as GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900MHz) connectivity and support for corporate and personal applications.

Moreover, the phone also includes a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, Bluetooth connectivity, GPRS, Wi-Fi capabilities, a MicroSD memory card slot for additional storage space, a battery that can provide up to 420 minutes of talk time or up to 348 hours of standby time. The handset measures 116mm x 59.2mm x 16mm and weighs 175g. Stay tuned to lean when Vodafone will bring the HTC Touch Pro 2 to the market and what price tag the device will feature.
