Mobile phone carrier Vodafone Australia is set to add to its offering a new tablet PC next week, none other than the BlackBerry PlayBook from Research In Motion, and the company has just unveiled the price tag this device will sport on its network.

On Wednesday June 29, 2011, the new device will be put for sale via the wireless carrier, and there are some special offerings in place for all those who would like to make an acquisition.

Vodafone customers will benefit from deals like: The Blackberry PlayBook PLUS the BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Vodafone’s $49 Cap Plan all for just $59 per month on a 24-month contract.

The Blackberry PlayBook PLUS the BlackBerry Bold 9780 on Vodafone’s $65 Infinite Plan for personal or business customers- all for just $75 per month on a 24-month contract.

However, these are not the only deals that Vodafone Australia put in place for all those who would like to purchase the new BlackBerry PlayBook and the BlackBerry Bold 9780.

24 Months deals start at $70 per month spent, but BIS is not included in the mix. Users can also choose 12 months deals starting at $120 spent per month, without BIS included.

The carrier has posted a complete list with the BlackBerry PlayBook & BlackBerry Bold 9780 pricing on its blog here, and those who would like to learn more on the matter should head there for that.

The PlayBook is RIM's first tablet PC. Sporting a 7-inch touchscreen display, the device was unveiled to the world in September last year, but arrived on shelves only this year. The tablet PC comes to the market with a fast dual-core application processor packed inside, a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back with HD recording capabilities, and front-facing camera for video calling.

The device was launched on shelves in different versions, based on the amount of internal memory RIM packed them with, including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
