Vin Diesel is speaking out again on the death of his good friend and “Fast and Furious” co-star Paul Walker, in a post on his Facebook page that has already gone viral because it speaks volumes to how close these two were and, ultimately, what an amazing guy Paul was.

As fans must know, Vin and Paul became bonded during the production of the first installment in the franchise and, considering they were now working on the seventh, you can imagine that they were like brothers.

Vin explains that, the moment he heard about Paul’s death in a fiery car crash outside Los Angeles on November 30, the first thing he did was contact his parents because, he imagined, he could offer them some comfort at this difficult time.

He never imagined he was the one in need of comforting.

“When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother's house... I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs,” he writes.

“His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry... I said sorry? You're the mother who lost a son?... She said yes, but you lost your other half…,” the actor continues.

That Vin has taken the death of his “brother” very hard was also apparent when he showed up at the crash site to thank the fans who had set up a memorial for the late actor and his friend, the driver of the car, which exploded within seconds of the impact.

At that time, a visibly devastated Vin used the speaker on a police car to address the fans and thank them for their support. He avoided paparazzi’s questions in a gracious manner – almost too gracious considering how highly inappropriate they were for that time and place.
