Vidiator announced that Xenon Music, based on the Xenon Multimedia Delivery Platform, is being used by PCCW to power a new music service - "MOOV on mobile". Xenon Music consists of Xenon Streamer Pro, Xenon Offline Encoder Pro and Xenon Live Encoder Pro and includes features such as encoding and streaming capabilities, intensive billing and authorization interfaces, and personal playlists with loop, shuffle and fast track switching.

""MOOV on mobile" is an innovative way to enjoy music through mobile handsets. The service not only provides customers of "MOOV on mobile" with eight preset lists that refresh every 15 minutes on 3G handsets, but also allows them to compile their own playlists via a personal computer and enjoy their favorite songs on mobile phones anytime, anywhere," said Ian Stone, Managing Director, Mobile and Projects of PCCW. "We are delighted to adopt Vidiator's technology as one of the enablers to deliver this new service with the largest library of mobile music in Hong Kong."

The Xenon Mobile Multimedia Delivery Platform provides mobile operators, content providers and handset manufacturers with the tools they need to create and launch advanced 3G multimedia services such as music, TV and on-demand video and audio. The Xenon Platform supports 3GPP standard streaming to be compatible with any standard mobile device. Furthermore, the Xenon Mobile Multimedia Delivery Platform, with a simple Java or Symbian client solution, provides a number of service enabling and revenue generating features such as live channel switching, advertisement insertion, personal playlists, dynamic bitrate adaptation and real-time billing and authorization which can enable high quality mobile TV, music and VOD services.
