One of the nicest mobile phones that are set to make an appearance in Canada during the ongoing year is the Xperia X10 from Sony Ericsson, that's for sure. This is the first device the joint venture delivers to the market with Google's Android operating system on board, but one should agree that they did a good job in the end. Xperia X10 has been already announced to be on its way to make an appearance on Rogers' airwaves, and now one can see it in a video available courtesy of the guys over at mobilesyrup.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was announced officially at the end of the last year, when the Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker said that would deliver it to the market in the first quarter of the ongoing year, and Rogers is gearing up for this release, it seems. The phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, sports a large touchscreen display, a high-quality camera and a great deal of capabilities.

“[X10] will come with Android OS 1.6 and has a beautiful 4-inch screen WVGA touchscreen that’s scratch-resistant (resolution is 480 x 854). You’ll see in the video the movies take up the entire screen with no wasted space. Overall the X10 weighs 135 grams and has an elegant look/feel to it. If comparing to other Android devices even the iPhone, this is one you should consider as the design is a massive shift to a better overall experence. This will be available in Black and also Rogers will be releasing a White model at release (sometime in Q2),” mobilesyrup notes.

Beside that large touchscreen display, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 also comes with an 8.1-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording, built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi connectivity options, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack and more. The joint venture preloaded it with two of its own applications, “Mediascape” and “Timescape,” both tightly connected to a so-called “infinite button” on the handset.
