Clearly, the diva is back, fans say

As previously announced, albeit never officially, Whitney Houston released a second video, for her lead single off the “I Look to You” album, the upbeat “Million Dollar Bill.” The video, uploaded on the Internet by Houston’s team, is already reaping praises from fans, who believe they’re in no way rash when they proclaim that the diva is back and, this time, she’s here to stay.

The video for “Million Dollar Bill,” just like the lyrics of the song also say, is all about feeling good. Shot in golden colors that speak of elegance and luxury, the video puts the singer in a light she hasn’t been seen in many years: full of life and smiling that brilliant smile of hers, Whitney becomes again the entertainer that can both make her audience cry and jump to take the dance ring, although not at the same time, of course.

In short, Whitney has come up with a video that invites fans to feel good about themselves, to celebrate life, as it were. It’s optimistic and, just like the song, will probably enjoy massive airplay on dedicated music channels. However, more importantly, it shows that Whitney has not lost that certain something that made her such a huge star a few years ago and that she’s back for good on the music stage and into the spotlight.

While fans are ecstatic about the releases, as well as about the entire “I Look to You” album, they’re also not oblivious to the hardship Houston had to overcome to make her way back in the limelight. Most commenters on dedicated forums point out that it was the singer’s revealing, two-part interview with Oprah Winfrey that made them appreciate Whitney’s recent material more, since it was clear it was laden with emotion and inspired from personal experience.

As we also reported, Houston was on Oprah to speak of her music comeback, but also about her severe drug use, troubled marriage to Bobby Brown and the many interventions it took to make her see she had a problem that could have killed her. All such sad stories aside, below is the official video for “Million Dollar Bill.” Enjoy.
