It should get a fully detailed launch at some point this week

Some pictures of the new Toshiba tablet did leak over to the web before, but it looks like the rumor mill has more to offer, even though nothing official has been said about it.

The IFA 2011 trade show is going to officially start tomorrow, but this hasn't stopped companies form making disclosures ahead of time.

In fact, since IT players got there one or more day early, they have been formally outlining their plans and product lines.

Toshiba did not actually do this for the tablet that gained the moniker of iPad killer just a few days ago.

Fortunately, market watchers are always on the lookout, so a few photos landed into the hands of the Internet, so to speak.

Now, more photos have found their way online, courtesy of the very same folks who got the others, from Notebook Italia.

Based on the 1.5 GHz dual-core Texas Instrument OMAP4460 processor (the chip is actually not confirmed, only rumored), the slate measures 10.1 inches in diagonal.

This means it will complete with the majority of Android tablet out there, the iPad and, for as long as it lasts, the ill-fated but massively popular (at the moment) HP TouchPad as well.

The operating system one can expect to see on this new slate, whatever its name is, is Android 3.2 (Honeycomb).

Other features one can spot in the pictures or from roaming the Internet are a microSD card slot, mini HDMI, a micro USB port and a front-facing camera.

Considering the trends, it is likely that an extra camera is built into the back of the tablet as well, for shooting films and taking photos (the font one is, mainly, for video chats and the like).

As for the thin design, which really is the main point of interest, there is a brushed metal cover and a smooth chrome outer rim.
