It looks like Verizon Wireless is about to release a minor software update for the HTC Rhyme. Software update build number 1.26.605.11 baseband version 1.15.00.0816 is meant to improve the phone’s software security and fixes a few bugs.

The update has around 9 MB and patches several security holes discovered a few weeks ago in HTC smartphones.

The update’s change log also reveals that it updates the Google Bluetooth security patch, as well as the Google DigiNotar security patch. In addition, the Twitter app will be updated as well to current authentication and API.

According to Verizon, the small update also solves a problem with update time for OTA (over the air) updates, as well as the issue with SMS being sent with voicemail.

Verizon already listed the update’s change log on its support site, but there’s no telling when it will be released.
