In addition to DROID RAZR M, Verizon Wireless has announced on Wednesday the upcoming availability of two other Android devices from Motorola, namely the DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD.

Both handsets have been designed to provide users with the performance levels and reliability that they would expect from such smartphones, and they should become available for purchase later this year.

Built on the popularity of Motorola’s DROID RAZR smartphone, both handsets run under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, but are expected to receive an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean before year’s end.

Motorola unveiled the DROID RAZR HD with a large 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display that can deliver a great experience when it comes to viewing photos or videos while on the go, or when browsing the web.

“DROID RAZR HD provides customers with 78 percent more pixels for a more vibrant display and features 40 percent greater battery capacity than the original DROID RAZR,” Motorola announced.

The company also added that DROID RAZR MAXX HD, which comes with the same leading features as DROID RAZR HD, can deliver even greater battery performance levels, providing users with up to 32 hours of normal use.

“The DROID RAZR MAXX HD is remarkably thin, yet packs sufficient battery power for 13 hours of straight video playback, enough to watch a movie trilogy without needing a charge,” Motorola unveiled.

Both smartphones pack 1.5 GHz dual-core processors complemented by 1 GB of RAM, as well as 8-megapixel photo snappers on the back, with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, both of them can connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE network, while also providing users with capabilities such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS receiver, and NFC.

“The new smartphones are powered by the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, giving customers the capability to simultaneously talk and browse the Web and also access the blazingly fast speeds that cover more than 75 percent of the U.S. population,” the phone maker continues.

DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD come to the market with software such as a Circles Widget, a Quick Settings feature, Help Guides, Google Maps, Voice Actions for Android, Google+, YouTube, and more.

“DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD will be available before the holidays. The DROID RAZR HD will be available in either Black or White and the DROID RAZR MAXX HD will be available in Black,” Motorola concluded.
