We’ve already reported on the next software update for the Motorola DROID BIONIC and Verizon published the official changelog a few days ago.

However, the update was not available for download until today. The folks over at Phandroid have just received several reports from DROID BIONIC owners who already got the update on their devices.

While this is not the Ice Cream Sandwich update, it still brings lots of important changes and new features. Aside from putting V-CAST and Amazon MP3 apps on the phone, the update also includes several major improvements on the overall stability of the smartphone.

In addition, Motorola also claims that the update also improves data connectivity and stability, and provides a few Wi-Fi mobile hotspot fixes. For the full changelog of the update head over to Verizon’s support site.
