BlackBerry smartphone users have now a series of newly updated applications available for their devices, including a new flavor of the App World, which has just reached version 1.1.0.33, as well as an updated AddOnis, which now features support for touchscreen and non-touchscreen handsets running under OS 5.0. Both software solutions come with a series of bug fixes, and are meant to offer an enhanced experience to BlackBerry users.

The BlackBerry App World is the application that Research In Motion has released for users of its handsets so as to offer them fast access to a variety of applications available for download via its software portal. The new 1.1.0.33 version of the application reportedly comes with a series of bug fixes that users will certainly enjoy, as well as with appearance changes, including the removal of some archive/restore icons from the homescreen. As for AddOnis, the application is now compatible with all touch and non-touch-enabled devices running under OS 5.0, it seems. Its makers also note that the new version has been specifically delivered to OS 5 users, and that it comes with support for the new combination Standby/Lock function the operating system includes.

At the same time, the software solution includes a series of updates for OS 4.5 and 4.6 devices, including a fix for an issue that prevented the sending of email to calendar, or a fix for a bug that Keylocker exception will not save. At the same time, the app has been updated with a new feature, enabling users to manually send call to calendar after call disconnect. The OS 5 version of AddOnis comes with a series of updates, including:
- All fixes and new functions listed for OS 4.5 / OS 4.6 versions.
- FIXED: A bug that may cause Autostandby not work.
- ADDED: Support for both new style Standby/Lock mode and old style Standby mode (to support different versions of OS 5.0).
- ADDED: New method to detect whether the calling number exists in the Addressbook or not.
