After a few weeks of less than exciting launches, the United Kingdom videogame chart received a major jolt during the last seven-day interval, with two new entries taking the first and the second position and the former leader sliding down no less than three places to reach number four.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is the fresh leader of the videogame sales chart. EA Sports delivered its customary World Cup-themed game, allowing players to take charge of almost any national team in the world and guide it to the ultimate football victory.

The way penalties are taken has been completely reworked in the new FIFA title and there's even a Dad Pad mode, which allows the entire game to be controlled using jut two buttons. Second place went to another new release, Super Street Fighter IV from Capcom, the standalone launch that reworks the mechanics of the fighting franchise and adds ten fresh combatants, each with a complete set of moves and specials.

Just Dance from Ubisoft managed to only slide down one place to get the final one on the podium, while Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction got in fourth place. The two new entries pushed all the old stuff down and the Episodes from Liberty City additional content for Grand Theft Auto IV is now in fifth position, down from three.

Nintendo succeeded in taking fifth and sixth place with Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort, showing the staying power of the releases, while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from DICE and Electronic Arts is at number eight, sliding down two positions. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from Infinity Ward and Activision is just one place down, while the God of War Collection from Sony closes down the top ten.

Monster Hunter Tri, from Capcom, a game that sat in fifth place week, is now out of the top ten, while Pokemom Soul Silver landed in 17. Iron Man 2 only managed to debut in twentieth place.
