Unique Weapons Offered for Section 8 Pre-Orders

SouthPeak Games has announced that it will be offering quite a few interesting goodies for all those who are interested in pre-ordering the first person multiplayer-oriented shooter Section 8.

The offering was initially detailed for the United Kingdom only. Players who pre-order the title will be receiving a special code that can be used to unlock both specific armor and some weapon variants.

The game is set to be officially released on September 11 and players who would like to see what it is all about can log into Xbox Live and check out the demo.

One of the pre-order bonuses is the Captain's Armor. It's basically a better looking version of the standard power armor that all players use when dropping into the game from orbit. The Section 8 variant of the Captain Armor will be featuring an Imperial Eagle on the shoulder pad, while the Arm of Orion variant will be sporting the Lion of Orion on the helmet.

Pre-orders can get you the SIW7 combat pistol, which is also known as the “Black Widow.” It fires .60 caliber slugs that are very effective at close and medium range and has near perfect accuracy and quick loading times, which make it perfect for the soldier who relies on mobility while also thinking about packing enough firepower. Players will get access to variants of the assault rifle, sporting shark teeth for the Section 8 gamers and skulls for those playing as the Arm of Orion.

Section 8 is shaping up to be a first person shooter packing some really interesting concepts, like the ability to drop in anywhere on the battlefield when you respawn and the weaving of a variety of missions into the deathwatch concept, with intelligence and convoys missions introduced dynamically.
