Underage Ali Is Home-Schooled, Dina Lohan Says

As we were telling you a while back, the Lohans have often been targeted and criticized in the media, especially since they seem to have a certain ability of not blushing when it comes to their personal lives, to put it mildly. Dina Lohan, Lindsay and Ali’s mother, for instance has often come under heavy fire for the freedom she offers her two daughters, as well as for her reportedly heavy partying ways. As far as Ali is concerned, though, Dina wants the media to know one thing: relax.

Dina, who also acts as an occasional spokesperson and manager for both Lindsay and Ali, is sick and tired of hearing stories about her partying with 15-year-old Ali or about allowing her to go out at night with her sister and, thus, neglect school. As a matter of fact, Dina says, not that’s it’s anybody’s business either way, but Ali is home-schooled because it has become very hard for her to attend regular classes while also seeing to her career in Hollywood.

“She is home schooled. I’m a firm believer in staying in school but, in the business, it’s gotten difficult for Ali to be in school.” Dina says for the Daily News, following allegations that she was letting the two girls run wild all over the world, with little to no concern about Ali’s future as regards education. Moreover, Mama Lohan says, school has become a tough place for Ali, especially since she’s started making a name for herself, because the other kids are jealous of her, so having her educated at home was the right decision to make.

As for taking her own underage daughter to a club in the dead of the night, as reports had it a while ago, that’s just nonsense, Dina tells the same publication. “People are saying I took Ali to a club, which is absurd. I don’t go to clubs and I wouldn’t take a 15-year-old to one.” Dina explains. However, while she might not do that, her other daughter, Lindsay, sure doesn’t have a problem taking a 15-year-old with her to a club to party until the wee hours of morning, the Daily News points out. Photographic evidence of such an occurrence exists, the publication also points out.

Dina’s statements come on the heels of Ali going on an extended vacation to Hawaii in Lindsay’s company. Upon their return, the two girls have hit several red carpets and have become almost inseparable, which has prompted publications like the Daily News to label Ali as Lindsay’s “favorite post-breakup accessory.”
