It's official, boys and girls, EA has just announced that MySims has shipped to retailers across North America, making the perfect life simulator for Nintendo's Wii and DS, allowing players to "build a town, grow a community and discover a world of their own!", as the official report reads. A few details on the title as well as a few words coming from Rod Humble, Studio Head of The Sims Label, can be found below.

- begin by creating your own toy-like MySims character that reflects your personal style and attitude; customization options include bow-ties, baseball caps, sunglasses and even braces; by unlocking the latest trends, hairstyles and accessories, players cam explore a greater depth of customization and expression?

- turn a rundown town into a thriving one by building and customizing objects with the easy and fun-to-use Wii and Nintendo DS controls; amusing furniture, customizable skins, patterns, and unique themes can be used to achieve this - each completed task will help the town thrive, so what each player does/makes? makes all the difference!

- attract new characters such as DJ Candy Supergroove - the town's hippest DJ, or the famous Italian chef Gino Delicioso - the best pizza maker in town! Each of the 60 unique characters bring knowledge and a fresh new experience to the town.

"MySims gives players the ability to unleash their creativity in every aspect of the game - from characters with wacky hairstyles and cool new clothing to the entire town including houses and everything within them," said Studio Head of The Sims Label, Rod Humble. "MySims is a wonderful little world that people can enter, enjoy, and explore at their own pace changing it to their own desires."

The game is rated E for everyone, so if you're one of those parents who are afraid of buying their kid a Wii Zapper to play Resident Evil and Metroid Prime 3 better, then you'd better get this game for him/her.

The game's Wii version ships in Japan on September 27th, while the DS version launches in Winter for the same territory.
