The company will supply extra consoles for the release events

An internal message from Sony suggests that all PlayStation 4 pre-orders that will be placed after Monday, August 5 in the United Kingdom will not be delivered to players on launch day.

CVG has seen the message between the company and its retail partners and it seems that the problem is linked to demand that has outstripped the projected manufacturing capabilities for the new device.

It’s unclear whether the pre-order limitations will apply to other markets in Europe or in the United States.

Sony has also promised that more units will be delivered to stores so that they can serve customers on the day the PS4 is out.

The company has refused to comment on the pre-order rumor.

The PlayStation 4 currently does not have an official launch date.
