THQ has just revealed a brand new Facebook application called UFC Undisputed Fight Nation, which ties into the UFC Undisputed video game series and allows players to create their own fighter, train him and engage in matches with their Facebook friends.

THQ's UFC Undisputed managed to secure a loyal following through its great gameplay mechanics, so the company is now aiming to dominate the online medium, specifically Facebook, through a dedicated application.

UFC Undisputed Fight Nation is a game for the social network that allows users to create and take care of their own virtual UFC fighting career.

"In UFC Undisputed Fight Nation, you'll train with guidance from UFC President Dana White to master moves from multiple mixed martial arts disciplines, compete against your friends and other Fight Nation members inside the virtual Octagon and share your results on Facebook as you progress from student to professional in your virtual UFC career," said the company in a special release.

Players can train in different styles of martial arts, compete against others and share their results, all through the familiarity of Facebook.

You can also manage your player and set up "Pro" fights against many well-known UFC fighters, including Cain Velasquez, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Frankie Edgar.

"We are excited about the tremendous opportunities available in the social networking space to deliver key franchises to our core audiences in unique and compelling ways," said Danny Bilson, THQ's executive VP of core games.

"UFC Undisputed Fight Nation delivers a great combination of gameplay, competitive spirit and replay value, making it the perfect fit for millions around the world to enjoy on Facebook."

This is all part of THQ's new online strategy, which aims at expanding its franchises into new directions, most of which focusing on Facebook and other social networks.

While UFC Undisputed Fight Nation will be completely free to play, those who want to progress faster can buy UFC Points and spend them on upgrades for their virtual players.

The game is now available to play at this address.
