Although U.S. Cellular debuted its LTE services only about a month ago, the carrier has already launched its second 4G LTE device, the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator.

The operator released its first LTE devices, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, back in March and promised that more LTE-enabled devices would come in the following week.

True to its promise, the carrier has announced today the immediate availability of the Samsung Galaxy S Aviator smartphone.

Customers can purchase the handset both online and in stores for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year agreement.

However, for a limited time, the smartphone will be available for only $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract.

Samsung Galaxy S Aviator is powered by Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system and runs on the 4G LTE network, with speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G.

Currently, U.S. Cellular, in partnership with King Street Wireless, offers customers 4G LTE services in select cities in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.

The smartphone sports a stunning 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display, as well as an impressive 8-megapixel rear camera for video calls. There's also a secondary front-facing VGA camera for self-portraits and video calls.

Additional customizations options are available via Google Play, formerly known as the Android Market, the ultimate shop for Android users that gives them access to more than 450,000 apps and games.

We are excited to bring our customers our first 4G LTE smartphone to help them get more done in less time. The faster downloading and browse and talk function make it the go-to device for customers who depend on their smartphone to keep up with their busy schedules,” said Edward Perez, vice president of sales and marketing operations for U.S. Cellular.
