Today, TweetUp, Inc. announced that its Twitter client for Android-based mobile phones, namely Twidroyd, now includes fully integrated TweetPhoto, the media-sharing service through which people can conveniently share photos via Twitter. The application is available for download via the Android Market. According to TweetUp, the integration between Twidroyd and TweetPhoto is meant to expand the already available photo upload functionality the Twitter client for Android had through the addition of voting, commenting and geo-tagging features into the mix, all being meant at improving the user experience it can offer.

Twidroyd, the industry-standard Twitter client for Android, is one of the most used Twitter apps on various other operating systems out there too, and can be enjoyed both as a free and as a commercial pro version.

Some of the main features of the software solution include postings, mentions and direct messages, as well as threaded view, integrated search, or URL shortening. The app also comes with geo-location support, multi-language interface, and with background notifications.

“Integrating the full functionality of TweetPhoto into Twidroyd is a tremendous step forward for our nearly one million users,” Thomas Marban, Twidroyd’s founder, commented on the announcement.

“Posting photos is among the most popular aspects of Twidroyd, and this tighter implementation of TweetPhoto’s impressive array of features will make it much easier for our users to get the most out of their Twitter experience,” he continued.

According to Sean Callahan, CEO of TweetPhoto, the addition of the new feature to the Twidroyd application should make it an even more appealing solution that it was before.

“We are very pleased to be working with Twidroyd and providing seamless access to TweetPhoto for their users. In addition to being the most popular Twitter client for Android, Twidroyd consistently wins product comparison reviews,” he stated, adding that the association between the two solutions should help Twidroyd continue being seen as one of the best Twitter clients.
