Need something to really ease the pain for waiting too long for the SDK or not getting Flash on the iPhone? Take a look at this picture (click to enlarge). What do you see? That's right, a state-of-the-art turntable with an iPod stuck in it. Main features include line-level output, pitch control, and a metal platter, so can you guess what it does?

Not that the headline doesn't give it away, but there's so much more to just converting and recording your old vynil records to your iPod/iPod classic/second and third-generation iPod nano. As you can imagine, you can manipulate/alter the recording process as much as possible, going as far as recording an original creation.

"Legendary Numark turntable performance, USB connectivity and the convenience of your iPod are fused together for the first time in the Numark TTi," says Numark. The Numark TTi is a USB turntable featuring this built-in universal dock for your iPod. Through it, users can easily transfer their old vinyl collection to their iPod, or archive their records to CD or MP3, using the included software.

TTi's integrated line-level output, mentioned above, allows for a quick and easy connection to any mixer for instant playback from your iPod or vinyl records. ?10% pitch control is also included, so users can adjust playback speed.

EZ Vinyl Converter 2 (PC) and EZ Audio Converter (for Mac) are included to simplify the recording process, and to convert vinyl directly to iTunes, while GracenoteMusicID technology, featured in EZ Vinyl Converter 2, analyzes your vinyl and automatically retrieves album, artist and song information. EZ Audio Converter, on the other hand, lets you enter track information, so whether you're a Mac owner or a PC fan, digitally archiving a collection is achievable in no time.

Numark's latest product is aimed at first-time DJs or anyone who wants to archive their vinyl to MP3. The Numark TTi will be available in the second quarter of 2008. Its price point has been set at $450.
