Trials Evolution is set to receive an update later today on the Xbox 360 platform in order to solve all sorts of issues but, unfortunately, developer RedLynx will also reset the game’s online leaderboards due to an array of problems that appeared after the title’s troubled launch.

Trials Evolution appeared back in April and immediately set a sales record on the Xbox Live Arcade, managing to sell a huge amount of copies in just a few days.

Now, after coping with the huge demand and examining feedback from fans, developer RedLynx has confirmed that an update will be launched later today, in order to fix an array of problems found by players.

Sadly, the studio is also going to reset the online leaderboards, as the issues encountered during the launch of the game resulted in errors when recording the player’s actual time.

"The reset was deemed necessary by Microsoft and us, due to the large amount of corrupt data that entered the leaderboard due to server overload and stress at launch, as well as some issues that have persisted until this update. We've worked hard to identify these issues and address them,” RedLynx said.

"We apologize for the multiplayer leaderboard reset. Because this multiplayer leaderboard reset will take place after the title update, we advise you not to play multiplayer matches for at least four to six hours after you receive the update, in order to avoid having your data purged by the reset or accidentally matching up with a non-updated player."
