Toshiba Adds New Satellite Pro Laptops

Toshiba, one of the leading makers of computer systems, has just introduced two new portable computer systems as part of its Satellite Pro lineup of laptops, with either of the two coming in a different form factor. The company's latest addition of Satellite Pro laptops will be available with a 15.4-inch display, for the S300 model, and a 14.1-inch display for the S300M version. The new systems will include a two-year, standard limited warranty, Toshiba said in the official announcement.

 

“Since its re-launch in October 2007, the Satellite Pro has consistently been one of the top-three selling laptops in the $600 - $999 price band,” said Carl Pinto, vice president, product development and marketing, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. “Toshiba has equipped these new Satellite Pro laptop PCs with even more mobility features and have added value by covering the Satellite Pro S300M and S300 laptop PC series with a two-year limited warranty, increasing the laptop’s appeal in today’s current economic conditions.” Mr. Pinto further explained.

 

The two systems have been designed and built to deliver high-quality laptops coming with a price tag that settles below the $1,000 price range. Both models equip the company's innovative fourth-generation EasyGuard Technology with PC Health Monitor, built-in support for docking and Face Recognition software.

 

As far as specifications go, both of the company's new Satellite Pro notebooks have been designed to support Intel's next-generation mobile platform, Centrino 2, and will deliver the visual performance achieved by Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator, the GMA 4500MHD. Aside from that, users will also get a maximum of 3GB of DDR2 memory, 160GB of storage space and support for wireless 802.11n and Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR connectivity.

 

Price-wise, you will be able to buy the Satellite Pro S300M for a starting price of $899, while the S300 starts at a relatively more affordable price of $829.
