Invincible Demon, a top-down action shooter with a few new twists, has been released in the iTunes App Store with a 2 dollar price tag and three times the average number of levels compared to similar games.

Development studio Infinibee Entertainment Ltd. announced the game’s debut just hours ago, promoting it as a game suitable both for iPad, and for iPhone gamers.

Danny Choi, co-founder and graphic designer for Infinibee Entertainment, says there are elements that set 'Invincible Demon' apart from traditional top-down, dual-stick shooters.

One such element is the 'protect the base' that has players survive a demonic onslaught while protecting their base by shooting and absorbing the fireballs aimed at it.

Gamers can choose to play as one of three characters. The title is Game Center supported and offers leaderboards and 18 levels of difficulty.

Choi continued, saying "We've also allowed players to have jumping ability within the game. Jumping is not used much in this genre, and it adds extra style and challenge to a game that already features faster-paced action than most shooting games on iPhone."

Infinibee is holding a contest in celebration of the game's release giving participants the chance to win up to US$10,000.

The race ends on December 18, 2011. Until that time, contestants can enter to win prizes of $20 every Sunday through PayPal, Infinibee said.

On December 20, 2011 the company will announce grand prize winners at a press conference in Calgary. The prizes are:

First place: $5,000 Second place: $2,000 Third place: $1,000 Fourth place: $500 Fifth place: $500

Invincible Demon supports the iPhone 4 retina display and HD display of the iPad. The game is also compatible with older generation devices, including the iPHone 3GS and iPod touch third generation.
