After a pretty ambiguous reveal a few weeks ago, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have finally decided to showcase the upcoming Tomb Raider HD trilogy bundle, which will be released later this year for the PlayStation 3.

The last few months have been extremely busy for Tomb Raider's leading lady, Lara Croft, as not only did she appear in the unconventional Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light downloadable title, but was also revealed to appear in a reboot of the series, called simply Tomb Raider, which will feature a younger and more inexperienced version of herself.

That's not all, as Crystal Dynamics, the studio responsible for the franchise, has just detailed the special Tomb Raider HD trilogy it will release this March on the PlayStation 3.

Following a trend set by Sony, with the God of War or Sly Cooper Collections, or Ubisoft, with the Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell Trilogies, Crystal Dynamics is set to release the Tomb Raider Trilogy.

The special package will include high definition versions of classic PlayStation 2 games Tomb Raider: Legend and Anniversary, as well as the newer Tomb Raider: Underworld, already released on the PlayStation 3.

"We're really excited to be able to offer gamers the chance to play both Legend and Anniversary 'remastered in high definition on the PlayStation 3," said Crystal Dynamics studio head Darrell Gallagher. "These are two titles we are extremely proud to have created."

Besides offering you a chance to reacquaint yourselves with Lara Croft and her adventures, the special trilogy will also include special features like an exclusive static theme pack for the PlayStation 3, two special costumes, Lara Croft and Viking Thrall, for the PlayStation Home as well as behind the scenes videos for the three games.

All of these things will be offered in the PlayStation 3-exclusive Tomb Raider Trilogy on March 22, in North America, for $39.99, and March 25, in Europe.
