14 DAY TRIAL // The Thief reboot that's been announced by developer Eidos Montreal and publisher Square Enix has just received its first video but, while it does feature a lot of commentary from its creators, it doesn't have any sort of gameplay footage.
Eidos Montreal has been working on a Thief project for quite some time and, while many thought the game would be Thief 4, a new sequel in the series, it's just been revealed that the title is a reboot called simply Thief.
The reveal was made through Game Informer magazine yesterday and now it's just posted a special video that shows members of the Eidos Montreal team talking about the importance of the Thief franchise and just how much work went into rebooting the series and adding lots of new mechanics to the classic stealth experience.
The Thief reboot is set to appear in 2014 for the PC and PlayStation 4 as well as for the oft-rumored Xbox 720.
