Present day high-end computer configurations require huge amounts of power to be delivered at any given time especially when multi-GPU setups or overclocking is involved, so Thermaltake decided to up the ante with its latest Toughpower PSU that is able to deliver an impressive 1350W of power.

Enough to support even the most power-hungry computers available out there, this PSU is specially designed in order to be used with multi-GPU setups, such as Nvidia's 3-Way/4-Way SLI and AMD's CrossFireX, the unit featuring no less than 8 PCI-E connectors.

These are powered by two 12V rails, each able to push an impressive 60A electronic charge, this 1350W unit featuring pretty much the same internals as its 1500W older brother.

Speaking of its components, Thermaltake says this PSU is made using only Japanese electrolytic capacitors, rated to work at temperatures as high as 105°C, and solid state capacitors with low ESR, thus improving the reliability and stability of the power supply.

Thermalright's great attention to details allowed for this PSU to get an 80 Plus Silver certification, the company stating its efficiency can go as high as 91% (more than 80 Plus Silver calls for).

In addition to the 8 available PCI-E connectors, the Toughpower 1350W PSU is also equipped with an 8pin CPU and a 4+4pin CPU connectors, that can support regular as well as dual-socket motherboards, eight MOLEX plugs, 12 SATA power connectors and an FDD power plug.

Cooling is provided by a 140mm fan that features automatic speed control, its maximum noise level being specified at 32db.

In addition, the PSU comes with over current, over voltage, under voltage, over power, over temperature as well as short circuitry protection, Thermaltake guaranteeing the unit can deliver 1350W continuous power 24/7 at 50 ℃ with up to 91% efficiency under real world load conditions in a multi-GPU setup.

Although no information regarding pricing was made available officially, a large number of online stores have the Toughpower 1350W listed at $349.99.
