Fans of the RTS genre were pleased with the first Theatre of War game developed by 1C Company, especially because the game brought an unprecedented detail level to the entire game mechanics. It seems only natural to hear now that the company is working on a new title in the series, one that will take the action back to 1943, and present the Theatre of War in Africa.

The game covers all the events during the operations in Tunisia - the recently defeated in Al-Alamein Afrika Korps, supported by Italian military, start their march against the Allies. Players will get the chance to take the place of General Rommel and take part in one of the latest huge attacks of the time. Of course, if you wish, you can become head of the English and American armies led by Montgomery and Eisenhower and rewrite history.

"In Theatre of War II we not only improved the graphics and the AI system, we added new units and features. We wanted to make a game that would exceed expectations of our fans," explained David Philippov, head of internal Game Development at 1C Company. "After the original game was released we spent a lot of time reading comments and gathering opinions. I believe that Theatre of War II will become popular not only among old fans, but gain new followers. It is a real step forward for our team."

The detail level of the first game will be expanded in the sequel with more than 40 types of vehicles, brand new unit types, improved graphics and sound experience, as well as an advanced visual system that allows players to change the observation angle and see fights inside buildings or hand to hand combat. Multiplayer and user-created missions are in the works right now, and 1C Company promises we'll have a great time playing their game.
