CD Projekt RED, the Polish developer who is best known for creating the very successful Witcher video games series, has confirmed that it is hiring for an all-new intellectual property that it did not name and that will use elements from the fantasy world and will mix shooter and traditional role-playing features.

The official website of the company states, “In order to continue in this spirit our journey within the constantly booming game industry, CD Projekt RED wants to reinforce its existing team with some highly talented and passionate people, who will help us in crafting new amazing projects.”

It adds, “Our mature dark-fantasy world is well known around the world, though if you can’t stomach dwarves, elves or sorceresses who put their ample charms on display in Playboy magazine, we’ve got also something special that might be right up your alley!”

The role-playing game that CD Projekt RED is working on is described as vast, which might mean that it uses an open-world structure, and dark, probably meaning that adult themes will once again be at the forefront.

The job listing for the new intellectual property is accompanied by the image of a gun, which makes it pretty clear that this is not something linked to The Witcher.

CD Projekt RED will probably offer more details on its new game either at the upcoming E3 2012 trade show or at Gamescom, which takes place later during the summer.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was first launched on the PC during 2011 and was widely praised for its deep story, its characters and the way it used familiar RPG mechanics in new ways.

Since then the game was also launched on the Xbox 360 home console from Microsoft and the PC version received a 2.0 version that fixes almost all gameplay issues and added new content.
