If you've just woken up and turned your computer on to check the news, you should be aware that the biggest scandal of the day is Solange's attack on her sister's husband, Jay Z, as documented by a leaked video with surveillance footage from the elevator of the standard hotel.

While you can read more details about the Solange attack on Jay Z in our previous pieces, it turns out that the Standard Hotel in New York City is now conducting an internal investigation trying to track down the person responsible for the leak, which constitutes a grave security breach.

The Standard Hotel has released a statement which reads, “We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests.”

“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity,” the statement continues.

So, as you can see, the hotel is not only willing to fire the person who leaked the video, but also probably sue them and send them to jail for this violation of their internal policy. The reason for this swift and decisive action is simple.

The hotel has to appear to deal with the matter swiftly and with impunity, or risk losing any customer who relies heavily on discretion. As you can imagine, these customers are usually the ones with the most money and the famous ones, who, in turn, attract other guests.

The video in question was leaked by TMZ, on its website, and stands at just a couple of minutes in length, with no audio. The black-and-white grainy footage does, however, manage to clearly reveal a very angry Solange Knowles literally raining down punches and kicks on Jay Z as a bodyguard tries in vain to restrain her.

Based on the clothes the people in the video were wearing, it was determined that the event took place after the Met Gala that took place in NYC last week. The odd thing about the video, apart from Solange's inexplicably violent behavior, was why Beyonce, also present at the scene, chose to stand idly by as her sister and husband were duking it out.

As the entire world now theorizes about what could have caused this violent outburst, and journalists dig hard to find out why Beyonce didn't flinch a muscle throughout the entire scuffle, the hotel is turning its attention on its security staff and anyone else who had access to the surveillance footage from the elevator cameras.

And while all the media is being thrown into a frenzy today, Beyonce and Jay Z have chosen to take the high road and present themselves in public, seemingly happy arm in arm, instead of hiding in their homes and leading to speculations about the future of their marriage.
