Samsung, the world's second largest handset manufacturer, and AT&T, North America's biggest mobile carrier, have announced the launch of this year's Samsung AT&T Summer Krush music tour in the US. The tour features leading artists who are performing live, in unique shows, in several important American cities.

Samsung AT&T Summer Krush debuted last night, with a performance by Mariah Carey in Los Angeles, and will end in September. The next Summer Krush concerts will bring the following artists:

- Gavin Rossdale, the former lead-singer of the British alternative rock band Bush. He will be performing on Thursday, August 7, in Seattle, presenting its solo debut album "Wanderlust."

- LeAnn Rimes, the 25-year old pop/country singer and songwriter who won several Grammy and Billboard awards. LeAnn will perform in Dallas, on August 13.

- Nelly, the St. Louis rapper, will go live in Atlanta, on Tuesday, August 19.

- Smashing Pumpkins, the alternative rock band led by Billy Corgan and formed back in 1988 in Chicago. The band will play on Friday, August 22, in the sunny Orlando.

- the legendary hip-hopper Nas is also part of the Samsung and AT&T tour, with a show that will be held in New York, on Wednesday, August 27.

- Good Charlotte, one of American teens' favorite rock bands, will end the Summer Krush with a live performance on September 16 in San Francisco.

During the upcoming six events included in the US tour, Samsung and AT&T will showcase the new colors of Samsung BlackJack II (Ocean Blue and Romantic Pink) as well as the handset's music capabilities. Moreover, those present at the shows will have the chance to win BlackJack II devices as well as many other prizes.
