The Nintendo Wii Allows You to Become Grim Reaper’s Son

- Death Jr and Pandora are ready to fight against the enemy hordes. Are you in?

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Although totally scary for the parents but a reason for ultimate joy for (some) kids, Eidos' newly announced Wii game will allow you to be a guy called Death Jr.,
the son of Grim Reaper himself. The game will be developed by Backbone Entertainment exclusively for the Nintendo Wii and this humorous platform shooter will be released this summer.

In Death Jr: Root Of Evil, as the teenage son of the famous Grim Reaper, you will soon understand that the world is not such a nice place, after all – and everything because of you. Because, together with your friend Pandora whilst arguing over a cocoon you both have collected for a school biology project, you will accidentally release an evil and powerful spirit called Furi. In order to stop this spirit and the hordes of minions that follow, Death Jr. and Pandora must team up with their wacky group of friends and fight their way across a series of mad, fun-filled locations. It's a Wii game, after all and, even though your character has such a deadly name, don't expect anything scary.

"Death Jr.: Root of Evil is a compelling and action-packed game experience coupled with lots of humor as gamers play as the Grim Reaper’s misfortunate teenage son," said Ray Livingston, Brand Manager at Eidos. "Played solo or together with a friend, Death Jr.: Root of Evil is a great addition to your Wii collection if you enjoy fun-filled, challenging platform games."

Regarding the gameplay, you are allowed to play as any of the two main characters, in the single player or multiplayer mode. You will meet 60 unique enemies through 19 levels in a seamless blend of 3D platforming and intense shoot 'em up action. The weapons will follow the game's rule as well and you will have some really crazy types, such as C4 Hamsters. Everything upgradeable, too! So we really have a fun summer ahead!
