This new handset released by Sony Ericsson, the 'W44S', will only be available in Japan, although I am sure a lot of people would have liked it to be available in Europe too.

The 'W44S' is a 3G multimedia phone with a dual-hinge QVGA Bravia-branded display (using the same technology as Sony Bravia LCD-TV's). The 3 inch display (one of the biggest on the market) when in horizontal mode, has a resolution of 240 x 432 and 256k colors. The 'W44S' measures 101 x 49 x 24 mm and weighs 146 grams. Multimedia capabilities include a 3.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus, one-seg digital TV broadcast, digital radio, and video recording capabilities. The handset has an internal memory of 115Mb, which can be extended with a Memory Stick Pro Duo card. The phone also features a Dual Stereo Speaker set and IrDA. It has a standby time of 270 hours and a Talk Time of 210 minutes.

The 'W44S' will be available in Japan in the following month, but so far, there are no details on how much it is going to cost.
