Goes by the name of Advent 4211 Netbook

The MSI Wind has been declared a most suitable competitor for ASUS' own Eee PC in the battle of the best netbook on the market, especially since both the Eee PC 1000 and the MSI Wind come with a similar specification list, 10-inch display and the computing power of Intel's Atom processor. But even so, MSI doesn't believe its sub-notebook is capable of achieving the sales target ASUS has set for its Eee PCs.

Maybe this is the reason why the Taiwanese manufacturer decided to take the OEM route with its Wind PC, whereas ASUS went for a direct to retail path with its Eee PC. This means that the Wind PC will be sold under different brand names around the world. There have already been some rumors according to which the MSI Wind will be available for sale in Japan in July, but that the Japanese will have to look for the LuvBook U100, rather than for the MSI Wind. On that note, the MSI Wind has been spotted on sale in PC World in the UK, as the Advent 4211 Netbook.

Although there's no direct hint that the Advent 4211 is actually the MSI Wind, a closer look at the specification list of the netbook reveals that the two devices are actually identical, the only difference between them being the chassis which has been painted in grey. There's also no mention of the battery of the netbook, but the Advent 4211 will probably sport a 3-cell one.

If the brand name is not so important to you, you should know that the Advent 4211 Nebook is in stock and available for purchase for a ?279.99 (?351/$558) price tag. There is also a ?4.95 fee for delivery, which you don't have to pay if you decide to buy it directly from the store.
