Adobe, Nokia and Movida are only some of the many leading companies that have already announced their support for this year's edition of the International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA). Aside them, the event's organizers have also mentioned Qualcomm, NVIDIA, AMD and Belle de Mai Media Park, Marseille.

The IMGA event continues the success that it has managed to score last year. Moreover, there are even higher expectations from this year's edition, as to pay off the efforts which have been made in order to create a tradition for it. "This fourth edition will be broader, better and more competitive than previous years. Thanks to our sponsors and our partners, we will be able to reach a much larger number of innovators. We are determined to find the 25 best ideas for tomorrow's mobile games by October", said Maarten Noyons, founder and Managing Director.

The fact that previous editions have proved to be quite successful is the main reason for some considerably large companies to offer their support for this one. "Last year's Awards demonstrated a huge leap forward for mobile games and, with the launch of the new N-Gage platform around the corner, we are looking forward to seeing how the mobile games developers will be using new elements such as social connectivity to add creativity to their entries this year", stated Dr. Mark Ollila, Director of Technology and Strategy, and Head of Nokia Games Publishing, Games, Multimedia.

IMGA will allow developers to enter their concepts in five different categories. They will have the chance of winning the big prize in the following fields:

■ Excellence in Connectivity ■ Excellence in 3D ■ Excellence in Game Play ■ Best licensed IP-based game ■ Best 2D Casual Game

Entries are expected until 6PM, on the 24th of September, 2007. From all the contestants, 25 will be selected by the end of October. They will have the chance of creating a demo version for the jury to view on the 28th of January. The final winners will be announced at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona on the 13th of February 2008.
