It looks like making the sound sources "visually" disappear has become more and more a very serious preoccupation for manufacturers and designers alike during the last months/year. From simply inserting speakers and even subwoofers in walls to disguising sound in daily or even common objects such as books or coffers, things seems like working on a single command: "no more seeing the speakers".

Now, do you remember the 70's and the
80's when the bigger the speaker - the cooler its owner? As technology has advanced and better sound can be achieved from much smaller gear, people also changed their view on the matter as well: it's now time for small 7.1 systems delivering crystal clear sound yet high levels and powerful, rich distribution to replace the 15" loudspeakers of the past.

Having solved almost every problem related to sound generating and physical behavior, that gave the start to a challenge for the most interesting places to confine the speakers in; many have come in with wacky ideas, but some designers produced outstanding results.

One of the nicest ideas was to place speakers in boxes specially designed such as to look like your ordinary garden rocks! From the granite look to sandstone and even lava, everything is possible - just choose what kind of rocks you want your fav tracks coming out of.

Stereostone states that some of the "speaking rocks" (the Soundstealth) are impossible to tell from real rocks unless you play something. All Stereostone boxes sport top shelf quality speakers cooled with ferrifluid and providing some serious 250W for your home or lawn; even more, all speakers used are usually 2dB more sensitive than regular ones - higher efficiency and less distortions.

The triple protection in all boxes ensures that no outside elements harm the rock-speakers: bugs, wind, rain, ice, snow or ultraviolet rays. Full-range, subwoofer or 2-way speakers, the Stereostone come in with extended warranty so they're definitely not the things you'd buy every 1 or 2 years. Imagine the good times you could enjoy in your garden while having music without seeing any loudspeakers, but the rocky pile you built next to you pine trees... or why not customizing your living room so that it accommodates different plants and "rocks"...
