Though Kate Gosselin and her two shows remain in TLC’s line-up for fall, it would seem that the network is moving on to another (far happier) family, having already ordered a new show.

As The Hollywood Reporter informs, the Gosselins are not being officially replaced, though it’s almost clear they won’t be able to face stiff competition.

TLC seems determined to move on and has ordered a season of “Sextuplets Take New York,” which will document the life of Victor and Digna Carpio, parents of 22-month old sextuplets.

Granted, this is not the first reality show to focus on a big brood on TLC, but that’s not stopping rumors from making the rounds, saying that this is virtually the beginning of the end for the Gosselins’ time in the spotlight.

“Kate Gosselin is about to get some company: A new family of sextuplets is moving in at TLC. The network has ordered eight episodes of ‘Sextuplets Take New York,’ which will chronicle a family billed as America’s first Latino sextuplets. It is set to premiere Sept. 14,” THR writes.

“The series revolves around Victor and Digna Carpio, who are raising four boys and two girls in Queens, N.Y. All are 22 months old, recently have mastered the art of walking and soon will be talking,” says the report.

“Each episode follows the daily challenges of raising the babies (50 diaper changes a day) and a 9-year-old son in a modest-sized home,” THR explains.

Nancy Daniels, senior VP production and development with TLC, explains for the same media outlet they got to meet the family when they did a special on parents coping with multiple birth.

The moment they set eyes on the Carpios, they fell in love with them, which is how they started thinking about the possibility of making an entire show on their life, Daniels reveals for the same media outlet.

Even with this kind of competition and the severe criticism both Kate and Jon Gosselin have drawn in the media, figures indicate they still rank high in the ratings.
