Five points of view, one mystery

We all love to play Sherlock Holmes every now and then, to solve mysteries after we have done our best to gather clues and interrogate all sorts of people. The good thing is that game developers know we are keen on this type of games and they're trying to bring us the best possible titles. This is the situation of Defenders of Law, Inc.: Crime in Willburg, currently under development at Portuguese studio Gameinvest for the Nintendo DS and Wii consoles, as well as PC systems.

A classic puzzle based adventure game, Defenders of Law challenges you to piece clues together and compile evidence in order to solve a murder mystery. An interesting aspect we're going to detail below is the fact that, unlike other similar releases which offer various mysteries for us to solve, this game only has one case, but five different people who can play it (so, basically, it's the same story from five different points of view - a very interesting feature!).

"We created complex criminal heroes in Defenders of Law, Inc. as a way to draw players into a story that feels like a really good crime novel," said Gameinvest founder and CEO Paulo Gomes. "As an attorney in the game, players will uncover the mysteries behind each individual character while proving the innocence of their client. It creates a much deeper experience than the typical casual game yet it's still accessible to everyone."

The title promises to bring us about 40 hours of gameplay and 25 detailed scenarios where any of the five litigators can collect evidence and create his case. As I was saying, this seems to be the most interesting aspect of the game - each of the litigators has just 15 days to defend his client, Miss Rosevolt, who is the main suspect in a murder case. Each Defender of Law will have his own way of seeing things, collecting evidence and interrogating suspects. All in all, this title seems to be a really promising one! We're just hoping Gameinvest will release it as soon as possible.
