Capcom explains why you have to wait 22 minutes to install Devil May Cry 4

All the gamers went a little crazy after they found out that they have to wait about 22 minutes to install Devil May Cry 4 on the PlayStation 3 hard drive. Some said that the game should be called "Devil Makes You Cry", others said that all this required install is just nonsense. I would say that people should start playing on the PCs, too, and learn what patience really means. Because, sometimes, it really worths waiting half an hour for a great game, right?

Still, most of the people are upset because the 22 minute install process only improves the loading times with up to three seconds, according to CVG.com. So Capcom couldn't stay quiet and had issued a response. It wasn't too much to say, anyway, but they got their reasons.

As Chris "Kramez" Kramer explains, the first good thing that comes out of the required install times is the fact that you can watch a really nifty series of screens that completely catch you up on the DMC4 backstory. Again, everybody who has ever played a PC game recently knows that this is no innovation - it's something that seems natural that even the MS Windows install has it. And, to prove that this is really no good reason, you should know that all the screens you see while you are waiting for Devil May Cry 4 to install can be seen anytime in the Library mode.

Next, Kramer says that the PS3 version has "near-Super Nintendo speed load times" and that levels load virtually instantaneous from cut scenes to action, so everything's worth the install. And if you really are in a hurry, you can skip all the cut scenes, which can be later watched in Theater mode.

Still the funniest advice that could be translated as "Capcom makes fun of you" or "Capcom cares" (depending on how mad the cut scenes make you), is the following: if you don't want to watch the install process, "go make a sandwich and grab a soda, then come on back. You're going to be spending some serious time with this game, and we don't want you going hungry. Low blood sugar will make you dizzy and you'll need to be focused like an Alan Parsons Project to defeat the enemies in this game." Yeah, indeed, that's a good one!

So... this is the official word regarding the install time. It shouldn't have been a problem in the first place as some things in life will never come instantly to you. So, patience - the game will not go anywhere else.
