The Conduit 2, the next installment in High Voltage's Wii-exclusive first-person shooter, will trump other Wii games like GoldenEye 007 or Call of Duty: Black Ops, and even many high-definition games for the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

The original Conduit was pretty well received, but, seeing as how it was exclusive to the Wii, hasn't really grasped a lot of fans.

Now, with the second game, its developer, High Voltage, wants to really set it apart and capture the audience of other Wii shooters like GoldenEye 007 or Black Ops.

"What sets us apart from Black Ops is that we're exclusive to the Wii and take advantage of the hardware," High Voltage CEO Nofsinger told ONM (via CVG). "GoldenEye, I think our multiplayer is definitely far more robust and that's what we set out to accomplish. We offer a lot of modes. I think they did a good job with the split-screen stuff but then we offer split-screen as well."

The multiplayer mode will really set it apart, according to the executive, who highlights things like a horde mode, similar to Gears of War on the Xbox 360, and a solid customization system which allows players to personalize their experience.

"We also offer a horde mode like a Gears Of War kind of thing. We have an experience which allows you to collect credits and then apply them to your character, you can customise your character, there's a perks system... It's a very robust multiplayer system with a lot of modes and a lot of different ways you can play," he said.

The High Voltage CEO went as far as saying that The Conduit 2 will even surprise gamers accustomed to playing shooters on more powerful platforms like the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

As you can see, High Voltage wants to make sure that you're going to be ready for when The Conduit 2 appears on April 19, in North America, and on April 22, in Europe, exclusively for the Wii.
