Imangi Studios launched the Android version of its popular “Temple Run” game four days ago and the title proved to be a major success.

Three days after it made it to Google Play Store the game reached the 1 million downloads barrier, which proves it's at least as highly-acclaimed as the iOS version that was launched last year.

However, users have reported quite a few bugs, as well as the fact that the game does not work on all Android devices, regardless of the operating system.

Although the developers came forward and announced that they have made “Temple Run” compatible with more than 700 Android devices, it appears that Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID BIONIC were not among those supported.

The good news is that Imangi Studios have just delivered the first update for the game, which solves some of the bugs reported and adds support for DROID RAZR and DROID BIONIC.

The latest update also fixes a bug that caused crashing on some devices. The magnet has been fixed as well and now it multiplies coin value when it needs to. Some spelling mistakes have been corrected also, along with Allergic to Gold achievement.

Moreover, Imangi Studios promises that more Android devices will be added to the already long list of supported devices, so those who are currently unable to play the game due to some compatibility issue should rest easy as these bugs will soon be addressed.

In other news, the developer plans to improve “Temple Run” for Android with more objectives, power-ups and characters in the following weeks. Imangi Studios also evaluates the possibility of adding new environments as well.

“Temple Run” 1.0.1 is now available as a free download in the Google Play store and it should be available with most devices running Android 2.1 Eclair and higher.
