Explosive fight leads to “Teen Mom” star Gary Shirley’s arrest for driving on suspended license

Two of the stars of MTV’s reality show “Teen Mom,” Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, are again in trouble with the law – Shirley, in particular. He was arrested the other day for driving on a suspended license after he got into such a violent fight with Amber that a police officer intervened.

Portwood and Shirley have a long history of abuse and violence towards each other: she was even investigated for domestic violence and battery after she punched Gary several times in front of the cameras – and as their baby daughter was watching.

The two have recently reconciled but, by the looks of things, they’re yet to tame their flammable temper, or else they wouldn’t have been in trouble with the police again.

Shirley was arrested in Alexandria, Indiana for driving on a suspended license, Radar Online reports. He’s been booked and released on bail.

“I observed a Silver Dodge stopped on the south side of Berry Street. I could hear a female arguing with a male inside the vehicle,” the police report obtained by Radar reads.

The officer then notes that the fight the two were having was so loud and apparently violent that he felt the need to check for himself that everything was alright.

“I advised them that I had heard them arguing and wanted to make sure. I asked the both for identification... The male introduced himself and the female as Gary Shirley and Amber Portwood from ‘Teen Mom’,” the report says.

When the officer noticed that Shirley was driving on a suspended license, he proceeded with the arrest.

“I placed Mr. Shirley in two sets of handcuffs due to his size. Both sets of handcuffs were checked for tightness and doubled locked,” says the report.

Gary was taken to the police station, where he was booked, had bail set at $3,000 and was released later. His license had expired back in November 2010.
