Flash drive makers do their best to make their devices as fashionable as possible, so it is a bit redundant for them to be developed specifically for the “fashion-conscious”, but it happens more often than not.

The latest “offender” is Team Group, although, true enough, it focused on a specific sub-branch of “fashion,” so to speak, when it made the new storage device.

IT players often leave things vague, or focus on what women like best, but Team Group went for the other camp and made a drive for men.

“The metal blasting finishing is designed to bring out the best of a manly man,” the press release says. “[C125 is] a cool, slick and manly flash drive featuring special metallic material.”

Indeed, C125 is the name of the newcomer, not exactly the most imaginative but then again, that goes for the majority of consumer electronics in this day and age.

The small stick has a metallic shell that offers a decent protection against abrasion and scratching, plus a shiny look, of course.

Moreover, the metal chain will easily affix to a briefcase or a keychain, whenever the flash drive isn't plugged in the USB port of a tablet or laptop.

Speaking of which, Team Group kept things nice and slow, implementing the USB 2.0 standard instead of USB 3.0.

That will make the 16 GB and 32 GB units take some time to copy large files, but 480 Mbps should be enough for the 4 GB and 8 GB ones.

Other specs include a power supply of 5V, data retention of over 10 years, a lifetime warranty and support for PC operating systems' Power Saving Mode.

Unfortunately, we don't have any prices to impart, which is a crying shame. Sales should start soon though, if they haven't already, so keep an eye on local retailers, especially now that NAND prices aren't likely to go any lower.
