Producers of rom-com reportedly choose Taylor Swift over Lindsay Lohan for lead

Despite her drug-related and legal problems, until not long ago, Lindsay Lohan insisted she wanted her career back. Her latest stint in jail, as brief as it was, just cost her a role – which now goes to Taylor Swift.

Lindsay recently said she wanted to prove the world that she remained a “damn good actress” but perhaps she never asked herself whether movie studios still wanted to work with her.

Granted, she hasn’t lost her part in “Inferno,” with producers saying they’re willing to halt production on the biopic until Lohan is well enough to start working on it.

However, she may have lost another part, AceShowbiz informs, citing a WENN report, because producers have reconsidered their initial choice.

They now want country singer and occasional actress Taylor Swift for the part in “One Night with You,” it is being said.

“It appears the romantic comedy may finally be off the table for Lindsay Lohan. The producers had actually talked to Taylor Swift’s agent a few months back about replacing Lindsay, but Taylor was in the middle of her tour,” an unnamed source says.

“Now that Lindsay can’t conquer her troubles, they’re taking the offer back to Taylor,” the same insider, reportedly in the know on this one, says.

“Previously, writer / producer Richard O’Sullivan told WENN that filmmakers were paying attention to Lohan’s problems before moving forward with their plan to cast the 24-year-old star,” AceShowbiz says.

“It is ready-made for Lindsay... but we’re proceeding with extreme caution while the Lohan family sorts through their issues during a very trying time,” O’Sullivan said at the time.

If this report is true, this is the second major movie role Lindsay Lohan loses in one year because of her wild and troubled ways.

A while back, rumor broke that she was dropped from “The Other Side” because she was considered not “bankable” anymore, in the sense she was too big a risk / investment for the kind of profit she made.
