14 DAY TRIAL // Targus Inc. has announced the release of new accessories for owners of an Apple iPad, including a charger, a stylus, and a bunch of cases that help users carry around their tablet PCs while also protecting them.
Thanks to the addition of these new accessories, Targus now has a complete collection of gadgets targeting the iPad, the company said.
Targus starts off with the Spruce Mini Messenger for iPad, an eco-friendly case designed specifically for the iPad and constructed of recycled polyester.
“In addition to protecting and storing an iPad, the Spruce Mini Messenger features pen loops, a business card holder, and a mesh pocket for other small accessories as well as two additional zippered compartments,” Targus notes.
The Spruce Mini Messenger for iPad is purchasable in black with green inner lining for $39.99.
The Zierra Case is a more elegant case that features additional pockets for business cards, photos or notes, as well as a loop for stylus or pen storage.
Unlike the cheaper Spruce Mini Messenger, the Zierra also converts to a one-position stand for the iPad.
It costs $54.99 and is available in black or red.
The company’s Mobile Charger targets drivers. It is described as small and compact. In fact, it’s so small because it’s not really a charger, but rather a cable that connects to a vehicle's 12V outlet.
It powers not only iPads, but other iOS devices as well.
“To maximize its usage, the device can also be used to power or charge other devices with a USB connection,” Targus notes. The Mobile Charger costs $24.99.
Finally, the Targus Stylus for iPad “enables the user to easily draw, take notes or simply turn a page with a durable rubber tip that won't scratch the iPad's surface.” It costs $14.99.
"Given the success we have experienced with the initial launch of our iPad cases, our new cases and accessories are anticipated to be a hit as well," said Al Giazzon, vice president of U.S. marketing at Targus.
"Each accessory was specifically designed with the iPad user in mind by incorporating practical features to heighten the utility of the device and meet the user's day-to-day needs," added Giazzon.
