It appears that not all of ASUS's tablets are doing so well, as a certain product that should have, by all accounts, debuted months ago has not and will not arrive in stores any time soon.

ASUS is one of the companies that managed to get their ARM-based Android tablets out in the open sooner rather than later.

Then again, in a fairly ironic turn of events, the Eee Pad Transformer sold out in hours after being first released, and it was only over the past few days that it went on sale again.

Meanwhile, a certain other device that the company is and has been known to be working on for months is taking a long time to show up.

The device in question is the so-called Eee Pad Slider, a tablet that has a physical keyboard on the back, which can slide forward and even act as a stand to keep it almost upright.

Unfortunately, even though the sales were originally supposed to start about two months ago (May, 2011), it has still now shown up in any stores.

In fact, not only has the device not appeared, it has been delayed for even longer, though nothing perfectly specific is known at the moment.

The company said only that it has to conduct some surveys in order to understand better what their customers want and that it will take until Autumn to sort things out.

For those that want to get reacquainted with the Eee Pad Slider, it is essentially a 10.1-inch tablet with the aforementioned added benefit of the QWERTY keyboard. It features an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, or at least did back at CES, when it first showed up.

The PC, CE and hardware components maker now expects to have some exact dates of launch, as well as pricing details, ready by the end of the ongoing month (July, 2011).
