Tanla Mobile, a company that specializes in the development of mobile applications, billing and delivery has announced that it has expanded its operations into Ireland. Moreover, the company has also signed a revenue sharing agreement for mobile payment and messaging with all of the mobile operators that offer their services in Ireland, including 3, O2, Vodafone and Meteor.

Through the new partnerships, Tanla will be able to offer its services to the Irish Media companies aiming to take profit from the ever-growing commercial marketing potential of mobile platforms.

Entering the Irish market is part of Tanla's global strategy, with other parts of Europe, South East Asia or North America to follow. The company's product portfolio includes various solutions for content and brand owners like 3G video and interactive TV management applications, all integrated with powerful online and CRM Tools.

"The Irish mobile market is one of the most advanced in Europe, if not the world, with penetration of 100%. Moreover, the typical average revenue per user (ARPU) is high at around ?55 per month," commented Gautam Sabharwal, Director, Tanla Mobile. "This demonstrates that Irish mobile users are happy to pay for services and functionality that adds value. Tanla Mobile believes itself to be best placed to help companies deliver that value through rich mobile applications and content delivery. The popularity of interactive television shows such as Big Brother and X-Factor combined with an explosion in user generated content on mobile platforms is also driving leading brands to develop a mobile strategy."

Having proved successful in the UK, in the near future, the company is determined to lead the mobile space, expecting to be set apart from the competition by its access to unparalleled development services and commercial relationships with operators.
