A very interesting weapon

Team Fortress 2 has become one of the most popular online shooters available these days thanks to its wide variety of choices in regard to gameplay and to the many updates that the team at Valve implemented. While most of them were essential to the gameplay, that didn't stop the developers from having some fun and designing some truly interesting weapons and achievements for the character classes.

Such is the case with the most recent update, which was set to focus only on the Sniper. But as things always take a interesting turn in TF2, the Spy backstabbed the poor guy and stole his update, receiving two brand new watches, a set of interesting achievements and a very powerful hand cannon. Now though, the Sniper has made a comeback in style and, besides the already announced offensive Huntsman and the defensive Razorback shield, he got a truly unique weapon.

Entitled Jarate, the new weapon is, obviously, a jar, which can be thrown onto enemies or teammates and which will break on impact, surrounding the target with a yellow liquid, left to the imagination of every player to decide what it is. If it hits enemies, the target will receive 35 percent more damage for a period of time or until he gets into some clean water. If thrown onto colleagues who are on fire, the Jarate will put out the blaze and save their physical integrity, but not much of their mental wellbeing.

Besides this new and unusual weapon, the Sniper has also received, like the Spy did a few days ago, his own set of achievements, which, in the same manner, only have their name and icon revealed, making players put on their thinking caps to find out just what they need to do in order to unlock them and gain the appreciation of their fellow gamers.

Look forward to more news about TF2 soon.
