Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA announced the availability of its HSPA+ network in a number of eight new markets, offering more users the possibility to enjoy what it claims to be the largest 4G network in the country. According to the wireless carrier, the markets where the new HSPA+ airwaves were made available for users include: Detroit, Mich.; Grand Junction, Colo.; Harlingen, Texas; Lafayette and South Bend, Ind.; Montgomery, Ala.; Roanoke-Lynchburg, Va. and Youngstown, Ohio.

With the new network expansion, an increased number of mobile phone users in the United States are offered the possibility to enjoy enhanced speeds when choosing T-Mobile's services.

Not to mention that, in addition to broadband devices, the wireless carrier also offers users the possibility to enjoy the enhanced speeds on their mobile phones.

Some of the latest handsets the company added to its offering, including the T-Mobile G2 or the myTouch 4G, come with support for the upgraded network, providing users with fast download speeds and better Internet browsing.

Here's what the official announcement from T-Mobile included:

"T-Mobile today announced the expansion of its 4G mobile broadband network to eight additional metro areas including Detroit, Mich.; Grand Junction, Colo.; Harlingen, Texas; Lafayette and South Bend, Ind.; Montgomery, Ala.; Roanoke-Lynchburg, Va. and Youngstown, Ohio.

With typical download speeds that are on par with or faster than competing 4G technologies, T-Mobile customers with the latest 4G devices in more than 80 metropolitan areas around the country can now enjoy blazing fast Web browsing, seamless video streaming and quicker downloads at no additional cost.

Continuing the aggressive expansion of our 4G network, T-Mobile is on pace to expand its HSPA+ footprint to reach 200 million people by the end of this year – with plans to move to faster speeds (42Mbps) in 2011." For the time being, there are no details available on what other markets would receive the 4G services from the company, but it should not be too long before the official announcement is made, so keep an eye on this space for more.
