Wireless services provider T-Mobile USA has just confirmed that its T-Mobile G-Slate tablet PC powered by Google's Android operating system is expected to become available for purchase on April 20th, featuring a price tag of $529.99 on contract.

The new device, unveiled in January with the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system on board, will come with enhanced support for multimedia, including recording and playback of 3D content. The retail package is expected to include 3D glasses as well.

The slate was launched with a brilliant 8.9" HD screen, complemented by dual rear-facing 5MP cameras for 3D video capture, HD video capture, and photo capture, and with a front facing camera for video chat.

Moreover, the new device comes with support for 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI output, a powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor with each core clocked in at 1GHz, and 32GB of internal memory.

As stated above, the new device is set to become available at $529.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and upon the signing of a two-year contract for current T-Mobile customers. The tablet PC would be released through all T-Mobile retail stores, as well as online on the carrier's website.

According to T-Mobile, the new device should easily prove a great option for all users out there, especially when compared to the more expensive Apple iPad 2 and Motorola Xoom.

In addition to powerful hardware, the device comes with a series of pre-installed applications to enhance the experience it can deliver to its users. These would include:

T-Mobile TV. Live and on-demand TV, including news, sports and full-length entertainment, plus full on-demand TV shows.

Need for Speed SHIFT HD. An award-winning racing game that combines the true driver’s experience with real-world physics, pixel-perfect car models, and a wide range of authentic race tracks. Fully loaded on the G-Slate, the popular racing game is brought to life on the tablet with crisp HD graphics, and a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope.

Zinio eReader - The largest online newsstand, this e-reader enables customers to shop for, search inside, read, share and save digital content in new ways with more than 75,000 digital magazines from 26 countries.

Preloaded Google applications - Preloaded Google applications include Google eBooks and Google Talk, with access to over 150,000 additional applications on Android Market.
