Having rooted for Susan Boyle since she first broke on the scene as the “Hairy Angel” on Britain’s Got Talent and having equally enjoyed everything she put out since then, and being a complete and unashamed Elvis Presley fan, news of a duet with these two is the best I could hope for today.

Simon Cowell has arranged for Susan to “duet” with the late King on his 1971 Christmas hit “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” which will go on sale during the holiday season, with all proceeds going to charity.

The Daily Mail speculates that the song might even be included on Susan’s Christmas album.

“To sing with Elvis, I didn't think it would be possible... isn't technology brilliant? I remember his music being played in the house growing up quite a lot – and I used to love going to see some of his films,” Ms. Boyle said during a press call announcing the surprise “collaboration.”

Elvis Presley duets are not as rare as you might imagine because, as Susan says, technology is making it easier for contemporary artists to record with him new versions of some of his biggest hits.

So far, my favorite is his and daughter Lisa Marie’s “Don’t Cry Daddy,” which you can also check out above. I have a feeling though that this will change when Susan’s duet comes out.
